FLYBY 3! The lowest in the land
The breaking and the making of this car!!!
Around the end of july 03,i went to clacton o sea to pick this car up,and she was a stunna,beautiful! i was well impressed so i decided to swap my series 1 escort cabbie for it as i'd been after another orion for a few months.
upon returning home the car was straight in the workshop,lowered(too much!) and had a 90 spec bumper fitted.
as i entered the drive thru that evening jaws dropped and crowds gathered!i felt i had some they had never had! (a decent motor for once). happy with myself i leave and decided to give it a blip on the way home when.................

I thought my world had ended! i hit an uninsured driver, i was told this would effect my NCB so i rightly or wrongly decided against claiming!
Back to the workshop the car went, was jigged to iron out any creases the began the hard(ish) work, fitting aftermarket panels and trying to get the gaps to match between panels.
Fortunately all i needed was 2 new headlamps and indicators,a radiator,starter motor and bell housing,2 new wings, a new front panel,new slam panel and finally a new turbo bonnet and £500 later i had them................... |

......... disaster struck, the car that WAS in tip top show condition was now nothing more than a mangled wreck!!! A bmw full of lads being driven uninsured pulled out,i had nowhere to go and hit making their car a BMW 3 series compact as opposed to a 325i, and mine was resembling a banger raced fiesta............................

........welded up and ready to go we primered the front end and went to source some paint.
localpaint shop had no white paint as someone had burgled them a few days earlier,(funnily enuff the only colours they did have were some crappy vauxhall ones! now theres a surprise eh?!?!!) so i tried halfords,
in all honesty the monkeys on the adverts would have had more of a clue than them dimwits................
.......... finally my mate slim comes to the rescue with 3 ltrs of "out the tin" white. car was then sprayed up a returned to how you can see her now!
quite a journey for an orion in one week prior to ford fair '03!
quite a bigger journey for my bank balance!!!!!
